M.V. JEAN MARIE NOTICE TO PASSENGERS
FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY:

Welcome aboard the 10 metre Cougar Cat "M.V. Jean Marie".

For your personal safety and for the safety of your fellow passengers, please take a moment to read the following safety points and make yourself familiar with them.

When the vessel is departing and arriving at the mooring pen, please remain seated and do not attempt to help with the proceedure in any way.

Whenever you are not seated, please keep a firm handhold onto some part of the boat, as the boat may lurch or move suddenly and throw you off balance.

By law, you must wear a lifejacket when crossing the "bar", and any other time when asked to do so by the Captain.

By law, you must remain on the outside deck while the boat is crossing the "bar".

The foredeck, sides and cabin roof are out of bounds to all passengers.

Please keep all parts of your body inside the boat at all times.

When fishing, please control your rod and tackle to prevent hitting another passenger with either your rod, sinker or hook.

For safety reasons, the crew will take your fish off the hook for you.

Many species of fish have dangerous spines, please do not handle any fish, either dead or alive, nor place your hand in the fish box.

The M.V. Jean Marie is a surveyed vessel and carries all the specified safety equipment set out by the Waterways Authority.

Liferafts capable of carrying all passengers and crew are situated on the cabin roof in a "self activating" cradle.

Lifejackets for all passengers and crew are situated inside the cabin in two locations: 1) under the aft bench seat and 2) under the bench next to the sink.

A Life Ring is also situated inside the cabin at two locations: 1) above the sink on the aft bulkhead and 2) beneath the forward passenger seat.

An "E.P.I.R.B" is also situated above the sink, and may only be activate by the Captain or person in Charge.

Thank you for reading this notice and please enjoy your trip. HAPPY FISHING!!!!
